My Old Kentucky Home (June 28)

It is always so fun when we are all together......and on this occasion, since we had a professional photographer over for lunch, we decided it would be fun to have our family picture made. (Actually, Melissa insisted that we take a family picture!!) These are not the ones she took, but these are the ones that her husband TJ took with my camera!! When we get Melissa's, we will post some of those too...She promised to Photoshop all our blemishes!! (You probably won't even recgognize us!! ) Tee Hee!!
We started off with the kids sitting in the front row....then they were held for the remainder of the pictures!!

A Fun Reunion (June 28, 2008)

When my sweet friend (and former Union Roomie) Melissa (Mann) Bean heard of my camera woes, she emailed me almost immediately and told me she would like to offer me her "back-up" camera that she didn't use very often. Melissa owns her own photography business in Louisville, and it just so happened that her back-up camera was the camera of my dreams!! :) She donated it to our adoption fund, and so she got a nice little tax deduction.....and I got an INCREDIBLE camera!! (I have to say I got the way sweeter end of the deal!!) But even better that just getting a camera, I got to spend three awesome hours laughing my head off with my sweet Melissa!!
This is her sweet husband, TJ, who is using Melissa's camera.....but it looks just like mine!! :)
I took over 300 pictures in the first 24 hours.......and had a ball doing it!! It felt SO GOOD to take pictures again!! Such an incredible gift....such an incredible friend!! Thanks, Melissa!!!

Painting the Nursery (June 2008)

Well, the time has come to begin getting this spare room ready for our newest addition who is on the way in about a month!! Keri was DETERMINED to help me paint...and I was so grateful for her expertise! We finished in about 2 1/2 hours, and we were very pleased with the way it looked!!
Keri painted the top line----which is certainly the hardest part!! It looks great!

The color is "Ryegrass" by Sherwin Williams.....The cutest green EVER!!

Hannah and Benjamin Visit! May 24-26, 2008

Daniel, Christy, Hannah, and Benjamin came to visit Aunt Ju Ju and Uncle Jonny....So of course Aunt Ju Ju went out and bought a baby pool for such HOT weather!! Aren't they so cute!!??

We went to the sprinkler park. Benjamin had a ball, but Hannah was not a big fan!!

We went to the Memphis Zoo on Monday.......Lots of good photos (Thanks to Keri's Camera!!) of the kids....I didn't bother blogging all the animals!! :)

This is how we all felt after our wonderful zoo-visit!! Tired, hot, and sweaty!!
