Guess Who Loves Bathtime!!----October 6, 2008

"Guess who loves bathtime!!?? Me! Jack Anderson Davis, that's who!! Here are some pictures to show you just how much I LOVE my baths!!"

"Yipeeeee!! Mom just put me in the bathwater!! It is so warm and wonderful!!"

"Whoa....I lose all track of time in the tub! I especially love it when mommy lets the warm water run all over my head and trickle down my face. And when she rubs the shampoo in....I sometimes forget who I am for a minute!!"

"Mommy lets me just hang out in the tub while she sits beside me and writes her thank-you notes for all the great things she's been given to use for my enjoyment! I am very thankful too! I lay very still in the tub and almost always drape my leg over the edge when I am really nice and cozy!"

"Well, that's what I wanted to show you! I didn't let mama include the pictures where I scream when she takes me out of the warm yumminess of the tub into the chilly air of the bathroom! But she always wraps me up immediately in this nice warm towel! Doesn't the hood look especially great on me!!?? I cannot wait until I get to play with toys in the bathtub! My friend Sara Kate told me all about it! Maybe by Christmas I'll have a cute rubber ducky!"

Hey! I'm Two Months Old!!-----October 5, 2008

Here's Jack posing for his two month pictures!! We gave him a little talking-to about inappropriate hand gestures after this shot. He had no idea........

Here he is just relaxing away!

Can you tell Jack has gained some weight since his first month's pictures?? He now weighs 12 pounds and 11 ounces....which seems big to us, but is only 50th percentile!! He was also 50th percentile in length, but 75th percentile in head size!! He is one smart cookie!!
We had to include this shot......It reminds us of how small he still really is!
Getting tired!!
Thanks for stopping by to check out how cute I still am!! :)

Spending Time with Poppy----October 3, 2008

After Grammy's surgery, Jack and I went to stay with her so Poppy could go back to work! Since Grammy just had rotator cuff surgery and knee surgery, she needed lots of help (and didn't care to have her picture made)! While we were in Mt. Juliet, we got to have lots of one-on-one time with both Grammy and Poppy! Here are some pictures of some sweet time with Poppy.
Poppy knew just how to change a diaper and to put on Jack's gown! He even did a great job feeding baby Jack!

Jack was so content to cuddle with Poppy!! He hopes we come back very soon!!

My Westminster Shower------September 28, 2008

Here I am with my sweet friends from Westminster who gave me a shower this past Sunday! This is my precious friend, Deborah Perry, who gave me a "New Mommy" gobblet! She made sure I got it first so I could drink my punch from it!

These beautiful cookies tasted as wonderful as they looked!!

Two more precious friends whom I couldn't live without: Anne Walker and Terri White.

Anne was the first brave one to grab Jack out of his carseat! She sure does love my baby!!

Anne is not nearly as boring as Jack makes her out to be!! Tee Hee!!
Three more sweet co-workers from Westminster: Carolyn Johnson, Debbie Barclay, and Dianne Clayton!

Terri White prayed so hard for baby Jack to come our way....She can't get enough of that baby boy! (And she loves to smell his cute little head!!)

Dollie Jones got me the cutest little Turkey puzzle! (Actually, she bought it for Jack, but I'm guessing I will play with it first!!)

Sweet Gina Hall gets her turn to hold baby Jack!

And finally, after the party ended, Mary Karen Dixon and Debbie Frazier finally got thier turns! (Mary Karen took all of these pictures for me during the shower!)

I was so thankful for this bunch of girls who love me so much and who gave me so many wonderful things! Thanks to Nancy Neal (who hosted the shower!!), Debbie Frazier, Mary Karen Dixon, Terri White, and Deborah Perry! What a wonderful day! The thing I am most thankful for is your friendship!!! I can't wait for Jack to get to know you and love you the way I do!!

Jack is Getting Big!!----------September 2008

Jack now weighs about 12 pounds....and has very good head control!

We even got his Bumbo out to try....and he did great!!

"Hey! This sitting up thing is not that hard!! I'll have this down by Thanksgiving!!"
"Wonder when Thanksgiving is!!??"

Go Titans!! ----------------September 2008

Jonathan and all his brothers met at Johnna and Aaron's home in Huntsville to go on their annual white water rafting trip to the Ocoee. I went along and spent the night with Johnna! We had lots of fun! We stayed through the end of the Titans' game on Sunday afternoon before we headed back to Mississippi.
He's crying because Vince Young isn't playing today!!

Okay.....all set now with a snack and the remote!!
That is much better......mama took the hat off!!
Where did that paci go? Have you seen my paci??!!??

Meeting the Kentucky Family----Sept. 13, 2008

We went to Kentucky to meet the great-grandparents! Here is Jack with Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Wooton from Madisonville....and baby Claire from Huntsville!!

Jack is wearing his new pajamas from his cousin, Lucy! She just outgrew them, and we are thankful for these Titan threads!!
Sweet eye contact!! :)

Here is Jack with Great Grandmother Amy.....she lives right across the road from my mom and dad's house. I have waited a long time for my sweet grandparents to look into the eyes of my child! Finally, that day arrived!!
My Aunt Lois was so excited to meet Jack! She has done so much behind-the-scenes work on Jack's behalf! She was in charge of the fund that made it possible for us to pay for our adoption!!

Here is Russ, Uncle Tom, Aunt Lois, and Karen.........Finally meeting Jack!!
Here are the cousins closest in age......Lucy, Jack, and Claire!
Four Generations of family who has been rocked in this rocking chair!
Whoa! Lots of cousins!! (And Austin and Arianna aren't even here!!) Lucy, John David, Jack, Luke, Anna, Catherine, and Claire! Sweet Catherine helped me feed Jack on Sunday morning before they headed home. We were hoping to go to church, but the power went out just as we were about to take showers!!

Hurricane Ike was blowing through! We didn't get much rain, but the wind REALLY blew! It blew Grandmother's antenna in half, curled some of the tin on Dad's shed, and blew over lots of corn! We were disappointed not to be able to go to church! We were hoping to see several friends who have waited so long to meet Jack. We will be back soon for a baby shower!!

Baby Jack in the antique cradle.....Grandma is rocking him.
Aunt Jen and Uncle Al came by after church (they went!!) to say goodbye to us!
Uncle Al and Jonathan were excited to see Jack in his Titans suit!! Go Titans!!

Time to go home!! (There is no electicity here!!) We have to get home to see the game tonight!!
Mom and Dad didn't get power back until the next morning!!
