Chill and Burp, Baby!-----August 25, 2008

Jack spends almost as much time trying to burp as he does eating!! Look at that sweet face!
Jonny is the master burper....He can get that baby's back so straight...and they pop right out! Jessica used to tell Jack to "chill and burp!" We still say that sometimes in her honor! :)
All better!!

Begging and a Bath!-----August 24, 2008

The girls called and asked us to come......Keri bribed us with some dessert! We came......and the begging began!! Everyone wanted to hold Baby Jack!! Look at those faces......especially Keri's! :)

Everytime Sara Kate catches a glimpse of Jack she'll say, "Ohhhhh...baby Jack!" or "I love baby Jack, Mama!"
Aunt Keri is letting me use her baby bathtub....so we decided to use it for the first time while we were here! This was a BIG hit with the girls!!
Everybody had to get close! Thanks to Jonathan for the photos!! :)

Jack loved his bath!! He loves that warm water!! He actually almost fell asleep again while we were washing his hair!!
Every girl got to wash part of Jack.....Sara Kate was very proud of herself!!
Ohhhhh! Clean baby Jack!!

First Dinner at Home-----------August 24, 2008

Keri brought over our dinner meal!! Mmmmm~Poppyseed Chicken, Sweet Corn, Rice, and fresh sliced tomatoes!!
Jonny and Jack are posing with a picture of Jessica.......Mama likes to take lots of pictures!! :)

This is Jack's frame of his Jessica! We gave Jessica one just like it while we were in Texas. Keri helped me make it.....It says, "I love my Jessica!" We tell him everyday how much he is loved...by everyone...including his Jessica!!

Meeting Granddaddy and Grandma!--August 24

Mom and Dad could not wait to meet Jack! So they drove down from Kentucky and were sitting on our backporch when we arrived home from church!! (Jack was very popular at church too!!)

Three generations of "Js!"
Look at those bright eyes!!
No doubt that Jack loves his Grandma!

And Granddaddy too!!

Hopefully we will see them again really soon!!

Welcome Home-------August 23, 2008

We came home to a sweet little party at the Smiths' House! Jack surely did feel like he was truly loved and highly anticipated!! The kids made a huge fuss over him...and of course his Aunt Keri couldn't wait to get hold of him! But, she was very kind and thoughtful and allowed lots of others to take up her "Jack Time."

We were greeted outside by everyone....Keri has those pictures on her camera. I will have to get those from her and add them on here later!
Elizabeth, Amy, and Jack
Pierce and Will....two of my fabulous former students....and now my dear friends!

Keri, Anne, and Brandi with Jack.

Aunt Keri finally gets her turn (again!).
Our precious friends meet our sweet Jack......He will grow to love his Uncle Andrew and Aunt Keri tremendously!! (I'm sure he already loves them!!)
Ooooooooh! The wait is over! Cute little Anna gets to hold Jack!!

I think he loves his Anna!!
Anna and Lizzie were not too sure about Aunt Ju Ju having a boy....but I think they have now changed their minds!! :)

Keri teared up when she saw her girls loving all over the baby we had ALL waited for....for so long! We are BOTH mamas!!

Aunt La La sitting pretty with Jack....talking to Mrs. Teri Holland! (Looks like Teri is waiting patienty to hold Jack by playing with a baby doll!!) :)
Jack slept through some of his party! What a cutie!

A very happy day.........Baby Jack and Uncle Jonny and Aunt Ju Ju have finally come home!! (We had been gone three weeks and a day!!)
Pierce finally gets his turn!
Will is a pro! We'll be calling on his babysitting expertise pretty soon!
Aunt Keri made her famous candy-bar announcements for Jack!!
Mrs. Amy couldn't have been more tickled!! She will be such a blessing to our family as our church's children's minister!!

The Wait is Over!!---------August 22, 2008

The wait is over!! After waiting 14 days, we got clearance today to leave the state of Texas and go home to Missisippi! We had a pretty big scare yesterday when we were told that some of the paperwork could not be found...and that we might have to start over, but somehow Abrazo got it all worked out! So today, after we received a fax and got it notarized, we obtained the permission needed to head home!
We will be leaving on Saturday morning around 9 or 10 a.m. and hopefully get to Mississippi by 5 or 6 p.m. It will be new territory for us! Not sure how many times we will have to stop!!
Jack is ready to meet Aunt Keri, Uncle Andrew, and the girls!! Plus, he is sure that there will be lots of other people ready to meet him too! We told him last night he was as famous as a rock star back home!! :) He has been so loved at every step of the way during his little life....First by Jessica and her family, then by our family, and now he will feel the love of everyone back home who has been praying for him every step of the way!!! He can't wait to meet you all!!
We are so thankful for the time we have had in Texas.....Time to just sit and enjoy Jack and getting to know him. We are so glad to have gotten to spend almost two weeks with Jessica and then another week at Joann's house in Plano! Plus, it was a treat to spend that middle week with Al, Jen, and the kids!!

We have not been home in over 20 days.....and we can't believe the time has come to Go Home with our baby!! How fun!

Thank you, God, for such wonderful days!!
