Jack's Christmas Gifts---December 31, 2009

Whoo-Hoo!! Jack really got a bunch of really great Christmas presents! We were so thankful for everyone's generosity! He got lots of books, puzzles, a train set, a grill, a set of wooden blocks, farm toys, and a fun riding toy! What fun we will have playing with all of it!!!

Jonathan got Jack his very own Titans hat....but Jack still prefers to wear his daddy's!!

Christmas in Kentucky---December 25, 2010

After being in Mt. Juliet, we then kept the tradition of heading to Kentucky on Christmas Day. Here are all my sisters, their husbands, and children! We are now up to a grand total of 10 kiddos and one due in May!

Here is Jack (in the red rocking chair he became very attached to this visit) with his little stocking. He didn't like sharing the chair too much with his cousins! :)

Here are my precious grandparents....Grandpa and Grandma ~ Grandmother and Billy.
Jack got to sit with his great grandmothers while he opened the gift that was from them!
Amy Kate Davis was the newest member of the Green family during this holiday. Here she is ~ four generations in this picture!!
We decided to spread out a bit since our house was getting a bit crowded...so we had our big family get-together in the big fellowship hall at Trace Creek! There was PLENTY of room with a huge kitchen and a gym full of balls and toys! Perfect!

Jennifer and Lucy are smiling and wearing the shirts I made for them! :)

Here is the rest of the family...Uncle Tom, Aunt Lois, Sam, PanKe, Elijah, Russ, Karen, and Anna. (Panke's mom was also celebrating with us since she is still staying with Sam and Panke.)
What a very merry Christmas!!

Mt Juliet Christmas--December 22, 2009

Merry Christmas in Mt. Juliet!! This year Grammy bought mini nativity scene costumes and everyone got to dress up! No picture was perfect, but they were all precious! Unfortunately in this one it appears that Isaiah the lamb has crawled away!

We try to get to Mt. Juliet early enough so that we can all spend several days together. This year Jonathan, Jack, and I were there five days...and had tons of fun with Jonathan's five brothers and their families!

Here we are celebrating with the extended Davis family....and it was Matthew's turn to read the Christmas Story this year!
Adam, Melanie, Grace Ann, and Isaiah
Gilbert (Poppy) and Jane (Grammy)
Aaron, Johnna, Catherine, Claire, and Amy Kate
Matthew, Melanie, Will, Alex, Sophie, and Abby
Daniel, Christy, Hannah, and Benjamin
Andrew and Ashley
Jonathan and little Jack with his new hat!
Melanie bought a "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake and we all celebrated!
We always sing Christmas carols around the piano....just for Grammy!
Then we sing "Wonderful Grace of Jesus" for us! We sing and laugh until we cry!
All the parts are hilarious....especially when the boys harmonize, "SING IT!"

So much fun!!

After the five days together, we headed to Kentucky on Christmas Day!!

Christmas Pancakes---December 18, 2009

Mmmmm! John David, Lucy, and Luke enjoy yummy Christmas Pancakes at Aunt Ju Ju's house!!

Jack is just hanging out and playing with his toys!

Christmas with the Smiths---December 17, 2009

Mmmmm! Christmas at the Smith house always means yummy food! The girls were busy baking Christmas Cookies for their Scout meeting cookie swap!

We ate a yummy dinner....and then we opened presents! This is what Jonathan, Jack and I gave the girls....Nightgowns for Christmas and matching ones for their American Girl Dolls!! :)

A Hard Lesson to Learn---December 11th, 2009

Jack was fascinated with our Christmas Tree! It took several lessons for him to realize that he just could not pull things off of it.....or really even touch it~! He was pretty stubborn...but Daddy and Mommy were even more stubborn.....

Mommy and Daddy won. And the tree stood standing all December long! :)

Meeting Santa! (Alpine Village)---December 2009

We went with the Smith family to the Alpine Village to have some early Christmas fun! We got to go to lots of little booths to make crafts, saw a puppet play, ate popcorn, saw a live nativity scene,...and we got to see Santa!

Sara Kate wasn't sure at first, but then she warmed up to the idea!

Even Jack was happy to meet Santa...especially when Santa gave him a stretchy bracelet!

And of course, it wouldn't be complete without snow! They had that too! What a fun night! (And it was FREE!!)

Kissing Santa---December 8, 2009

Jack learned how to kiss really well in December, and he began kissing everything!! One morning, I came in the kitchen to find him kissing Santa over and over and over! (He doesn't even know who SANTA is!!!)

What a sweetie!!

Seeing High School Friends--December 4, 2009

A few of my high school friends got together at Pete and Sams's in Memphis since a few of them had come into town for the St. Jude Marathon. Jodi McManus Butler, Tyra Frick Cornwell, Jennifer Rhew Sansone, Me, and Terri Fowler (oops! Forgot her married name!)
Jennifer and Terri live in Memphis, but Jodi and Tyra, who still live in Kentucky, had come down to run....! It was also Jodi's birthday! :)

Jack was a REAL trooper that night! He fell asleep immediately after we left! Bless him!!
