Playing with Mommy!-----November 2, 2008

What a cuddle bug!!
Could Mommy's heart be any more full??!

Happy Halloween!!-----October 31, 2008

Look at our little JACK-o-lantern!! :) He was SOOO cute in his little Halloween costume from Aunt Karen!!

We all went over to the Norments' house to trick-or-treat with some of our church friends! Everyone loved holding Jack....

....but it looks like Jack preferred Will!! (Who is one of the three blind mice!) This was one of the only good smiles we got out of him after it got dark....I think it all kind of freaked him out!! :)

But what a cutie!! We didn't go to any houses for candy...nobody had treat bags full of formula! Maybe we'll get some loot next year!! :)

We love Baby Einstein!--------October 29, 2008

We decided to get out one of Jack's new Baby Einstein Videos that he got as a shower gift....just to see if he was at all interested. To our surprise, he watched the whole video! He kicked and squealed, and smiled throughout the movie! Now we try to watch it once or twice a week! He stays very alert and happy while watching all of those swirling, twirling, dancing objects..and even Mommy enjoys the music!!

A Fun Week In Kentucky!-----October 12-18, 2008

After the shower, Jonny returned home to Mississippi, but I stayed. Keri and the girls came up on Tuesday, and later on Wednesday, Jonathan and Andrew arrived! We celebrated Fall Break in our usual fashion---on the FARM!

Sara Kate just cannot get enough of baby Jack!!
Daddy let the girls ride in the combine with him while he picked his soybeans!!

The girls decided to milk a cow this year! They were very brave! :)

Jack got lots of face-to-face talk time with Grandma!! He loves her voice!

Three sweet farm girlies!!

Exploring a tobacco barn late in the evening.

Fun board games....This one is called Mother's Helper!! We play it every time the girls come!

Lizzie worked on trying to ride her bike without training wheels!!

The weather was beautiful!! We even got to watch mom hang out her clothes!! Just like my childhood days outside!!

My sweet house!

More pictures of the farm....and little Sara Kate!

Jack went with us to see the baby calves!

What a sweet-pea! He slept through the whole little field-trip!!

Keri helps Sara Kate feed a baby calf!

Anna is a pro at luring the calves to her bottle!

Fun loving on daddy!!

Jen and little Lucy!
Playing in grandmother's laundry room with a cool train set!!

Grandmother, Joann, and Lucy!
What a fun trip to Kentucky!! Can't wait till we all come back next year!! :)

Jack's Big Party in Kentucky!---October 11, 2008

The big day in Kentucky finally came....and it was so fun to introduce Jack to so many of my childhood mentors and friends!! So many of these women have shaped me into who I am today...and it was so important to me that they meet him!! My sisters and mom outdid themselves with the details of food and decorations!

There were not many tears on this day...but one of the sweetest moments was when Robbin finally got to meet Jack...This child for whom she had prayed for so long!! It was so sweet to see how touched she was to hold him and finally see him face to face!!

My sweet church friends from my childhood.....Fran, Jackie, De De, and Dee....Some key people who shared Jesus with me...and led me through the gospel....from my earliest days!!

You can see Catherine here...who was a huge help with choosing which gift to open...and the discarding of the wrapping! :) What a delight!!
This was probably the most precious gift (no pun intended)! De De had anticipated that I would one day have a baby.....and knowing how much I loved Precious Moments, she painted and sewed this quilt for me...way back in 1999!!! It is so special now...not only because she took the time to make it for me, but because she now could not physically create it due to her severe arthritis. It will be cherished forever!!
Johnna did a great job archiving the details of every gift!! :)
Another childhood friend...Tara Shrum Peffer...with her sweet, sweet baby girl, Ann Marie Faith!
My Aunt Ruth and my happy little cousin, Karen!

What a happy day!!

We are so thankful for all we received...and for all we got to see, meet, and love on!!

Fridays are Fun!! October 9, 2008

Fridays are so fun!! On Fridays the Smith girls come over and have science class with Aunt Ju Ju! This week we are beginning a unit on the farm.

Here is Jack waiting for the girls to arrive!!

They are here.............!!! And what a big smile Jack gives them!!
Sometimes Aunt Ju Ju lets the girls play Wii first......to get their wiggles out!! :)
I changed outfits....to show off my fabulous new Halloween PJs!! Thanks to my CiCi for the wonderful new duds!! They fit perfectly!!

Today Aunt Ju Ju took the girls on a field trip! We drove around our community to write down the different farms we saw! We were so close to the Lamar post office, we decided to stop and visit the building where all our mail comes and goes!! (A
nd that is not a two-headed creature...it is Lizzie and Anna!!)

We saw corn fields and soybean fields.....and we looked for cotton fields and never found one! But we did find this interesting crop.....Sorghum! Mmmmm! Let's make molasses! :)
This was the most interesting field we found.....Two horses, a pony, and a llama!! Yes....! A llama! But it was camera shy!!
